Networked ISDN

Linking your existing Network, on demand, to the Internet at a fraction of the cost of a permanent connection

What is Networked ISDN?
Networked ISDN provides a remarkably cost effective way to link your existing Windows 95/98/Nt Macintosh or Unix network to Wide Area Networks (WANs) such as the Internet.
Substantially reducing the cost of installing and maintaining a 'leased line', ISDN offers full 'dial on demand' WAN connections for the price of a local call. Single and dual channel ISDN circuits offer 64K and 128K bandwith respectively and enable each of your current networked PCs to seamlessly access all of the services available on the Internet such as e-mail and full 'on demand' World Wide Web.

How does Networked ISDN work?
When you purchase a Networked ISDN package from Solis, we will allocate a block of unique Static IP addresses for each of your current machines together with an IP address for your ISDN Router. A Router is simply another network device which manages traffic to and from the Internet (WAN).
Each machine then has its own location on both your network and the Internet. We will fully configure the Router as a part of the package. Additionally, all on-site configuration is included within the package and we can arrange to do all work whilst your office is closed, such as over the weekend, so as to avoid any disruption to your routine.

How much does Networked ISDN cost?
(Includes dual channel (128K) access upon demand)

UsersSetup*Running Costs
Up to 5£1.800£600 Per Annum
6 - 13£2,300£800 Per Annum

51 - 253P.O.A£1,400 Per Annum

* Setup includes provision, installation and configuration of ISDN Router, allocation and configuration of IP addresses, full on-site setup and configuration of each machine with locally managed e-mail gateway software (includes installation of Pegasus Mail software on each terminal), Installation and setup of Web Browser software on each terminal and full testing.

For those who intend to provide their own Router and do all configuration themselves, the setup fee is £300 regardless of the number of users. We will still allocate a block of IP addresses.

What do I need?
You will obviously need an existing Windows 95 Network linked together with Cat5 (UTP) network leads and a local hub with one spare port. You will also need to have an ISDN line installed by your local Telecoms company, or BT. We'll do the rest.
