The founder of Solis and Chief Coffee Maker Extraordinaire
A career academic, Martyn has a background in Psychology, Sociology and Social Policy.  A keen interest (and another professional qualification) in Youth and Community Development led Martyn to establish the original UK Drug and Alcohol Network - a multi-agency communication tool for anyone (including clients) with an interest in strategies to reduce drug and alcohol related harm. 

He is still actively involved in (many) community initiatives.

Martyn is responsible for the overall business and technical strategy for Solis together with heading the customer facing side of the business, especially in terms of Customer support.  Martyn likes to be on the Front Line and will invariably be the person who grabs the phone first when it rings.

Away from the keyboard Martyn has numerous external interests including Rock Climbing (badly), Gardening (growing fiercely hot Chillis) and Electronics,   Together with being a Director of numerous other IT companies, Martyn also runs a Narrow Boat Hire company and is a member of the Magic Circle.
